In early married life Christmas decorations were not high on the financial list of goodies.  We did however have a simple tree with a few lights on it.  We also had a string of lights around the front window of our Residential Mobile Home which brightened up the park and our home during the festive season.

Every 4-5 years we would upgrade our tree to something a little grander and eventually ventured out to getting a new set of tree lights,  coloured . . . . .  and they flashed, not by electronics but by flasher bulbs.

Not a lot changed in the Christmas Lighting department . . . . .    until we moved in to our third Bristol house.
